I made this decorated frame and art piece for two friends that got married in February. I made the paper that I cut the hearts out of using my Gelli plate and then painted the stripes on watercolour paper before gluing them down. Then I wrote the words, framed the piece, and then decorated the frame with flowers, liquitex mediums, and findings.
It's amazing that you made the paper! It's gorgeous, the whole thing!
Thank you! I'm glad you like it. And our friends liked it too. Apparently it ended up being the colours of the ribbon they used to bind their hands during the ceremony. With the paper it's this cool thing called gelli printing. I have only done it simply so far, but it's super fun. I'm gonna get more complicated later, but yeah. Here, I filmed it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=IkG4iH…
That's great! And it does seem to be really interesting and fun!
Oh yeah! I wish it were you coming over instead of Mike's parents. You and I could play with all the cool things I've gotten recently and not worry about making a mess or anything.
Yeah, well maybe when you come up again you can bring some of the new cool stuff and we can play with it here. Still won't have to worry about making a mess, just cats stepping in it
I will try. There's lotsa stuff and I wouldn't really know what to bring. There's so much stuff, I had to make a whole new room tour!
